Biography

Maria Alexandra was born in a small town near the capital of Venezuela. She studied Political Science with the intention of contributing to the progress of my country. However, due to circumstances, like many other young people, she had to migrate. To her surprise, she found the United States and Pittsburgh a welcoming city. She arrived during the pandemic without knowing the language and without having a penny. Now, with a different personal situation, it fills her with satisfaction to help our community. Understanding how difficult the experience of migrating can be, being away from your family makes her empathetic. Maria Alexandra feels grateful and blessed to be here, now it is her turn to give back, take care of the spaces and love this small city of yellow bridges that opens its doors to people in our community.
