Jayden Sechrengost – Intern

Jayden Sechrengost is a sophomore at Duquesne University and is originally from Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. She is double majoring in International Relations and Spanish at Duquesne, and she has a minor in history. Before joining Casa San Jose, she attended meetings for the Elsinore Bennu Think Tank for Restorative Justice, and in high school, she volunteered often at her local church and for the various organizations that she was involved in.

She heard about Casa San Jose through the Community Engaged Scholars Program at Duquesne University, and after speaking with José and Diana, she could not wait to be a part of the work that Casa San Jose does. She loves that Casa San Jose is so committed to working with the Latino community to increase their access to resources and opportunities in Pittsburgh. After she graduates from Duquesne, she plans to go to law school.
