Campamento Sonrisa is a day camp held four days a week for four weeks. It is primarily designed for Latino children so that they might more deeply appreciate their cultural heritage and continue to speak Spanish so as to strengthen bilingual fluency. They follow a schedule which involves quiet times, art activities and fun and games. Field trips, baseball games and swimming are among their activities. The children at the camp are provided breakfast, lunch and two snacks.
The first session of Campamento Sonrisa begins in June and ends in early July. The second session begins in mid July and ends in August. There is a fee for the entire camp and some financial assistance is available.
