Pittsburgh’s Latino community uninspired by president’s address

From a small storefront office in a city built by immigrants in a state that voted for Donald Trump, voices of dissent rang out in English and Spanish as the president delivered his first State of the Union speech Tuesday.

The first boos began the moment Donald Trump’s face appeared on the wall, projected there from the C-SPAN livestream. They didn’t let up.

About 20 adults and nearly as many children turned up at Casa San Jose in Beechview for the Latino community resource center’s speech-watch party.
