Art Rooney Award Dinner: John E. McGrady Award

Sister Janice receives the John E. McGrady Award at the Art Rooney Award Dinner for her exceptional volunteer work in the community.


The Art Rooney Award Website describes the award as follows:

“The late John E. McGrady was a respected civic and political leader. During his tenure as an Allegheny County Commissioner, McGrady fought for the development of mass transit, the construction of Three Rivers Stadium, and the development of the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC).

John McGrady, a Lawrenceville native, was also highly involved with the Catholic Youth Association. Members of the McGrady family have served as board members of the Catholic Youth Association for over 40 years.”

Pittsburgh Catholic Associates also published an article featuring the Art Rooney Award Dinner.
