Global Sisters Report: A project of National Catholic Reporter featured Sister Janice through a Q & A on January 4, 2017. The interview, written by Jennifer Szweda Jordan, “described how [Sister Janices’] journey began and her concerns for the future.” When asked about some anecdotes of some of the work of Casa San Jose Sister Janice answered, “Seeing these youth who qualify for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and them being able to go to college or any kind of trade school, get a job, using a Social Security number. All those things are really exciting, exciting steps forward. They don’t happen every day, but on the rare occasion when they do happen, it’s very exciting.”
